Wylie Band Boosters raise money through various fundraising activities throughout the year to directly benefit band students at all levels Middle School – High School.  Band parents we need your help, So if you have not signed up yet, please sign-up to volunteer your time.

Memberships & Sponsorships
At the beginning of the school year the annual membership drives are conducted.

The Membership drive allows students to sell Booster Memberships.  The majority of money raised minus the cost of the membership plaque and a small processing fee goes directly to the student’s school Band account.  Students may use money raised through fundraising to fund Band Trip expenses, for instrument repairs, for music and other Band related expenses.  This is a fast and easy way for students to earn money.  Some students have covered the entire cost of Band trips by selling Booster Memberships.

Wylie Football Concessions

Wyle football concession sales are our biggest fund raising activity.  This can be lots of fun as you earn money for charter busses or an upcoming Band trip. The Wylie Band Boosters operate both the home and visitor concession stands for all football games (Junior High School, Junior Varsity and Varsity).  We need a large number of volunteers for all varsity home games.  The home season starts in August and runs through November.  There are normally five home varsity football games.  Band members and one or two Band Booster Parent Volunteers work the Tuesday/Thursday non-varsity football games.

If you can work only one game a year it can make a difference.  Remember this fundraiser directly benefits all Band members (Middle School through High School).

Contact Carol Rogers  439-0230 to sign-up or sign-up at one of the monthly.

Big Country Marching Festival
Each year Wylie High School hosts the annual Big Country Marching Festival.  The festival allows bands from surrounding areas to perform for competition or for critique prior to UIL marching contests.  The festival follows all UIL competition rules.  The contest is judged by qualified band directors and awards are presented.  The festival requires a number of volunteers to perform various tasks.  These tasks include: time takers, announcers, entry and exist flagers, greeters, parking lot attendants, ticket takers, and concession workers.  Shifts vary in length, so there is a place for everyone who wants to assist.  This is a major fundraiser.

More Information will be available at the August & September Band Booster Meeting.

Additional Activities and/or Sales are scheduled as needed.
